There’s a page on your website that’s more valuable than almost anything else. And you’re not doing anything with it at the moment. You probably don’t even know that it’s important. Most people don’t.
Let me explain.
One of our clients, Jonathan, is helping people who are in the corporate rat race to get out and start making money through blogging or podcasts. On his website, he had a lead magnet and after that a thank you page. That’s what you probably have too, right?
So, we told him about the page that’s more valuable than others. He did not have it either, so we decided to change that and test it. We replaced his thank you page with a tripwire offer page.
What is a tripwire?
It’s the offer you should give to people after they sign up for your lead magnet. It should be something useful for them but cheap so that it will be super easy for people to decide to buy it.
Why am I telling you that this cheap offer is so important?
Because you show it to people at a very special moment.
What do I
mean by this?
People have a certain problem. They search for the solution and eventually come to your website. They like what they’re reading enough to stick around. Then they see the opt-in, they sign up to get more help from you.
That’s the magic moment.
You started building trust and helping them.
At that point, a certain number of people are willing to buy something straight away that solves their problem. That’s why you should send them to your tripwire sales page.
Once someone buys something from you, they’re much more likely to buy again. The money you’ll be getting, you can invest back in ads to get more traffic and potentially more leads and customers.
